Love of Reading Day, March 6th
Black History Presentation
Seventh and Eighth Grade students at Waynesville Middle School attended a Black History Month presentation. The presentations highlighted important contributions of individuals of African descent. The theme for this year was Scientists and Inventors. Ms. Cynthia Andry and Ms. Donnita Patterson-Brown from the Pulaski Family Coalition, PFAC, were the presenters. The important contributions of several individuals to the fields science, math, technology, and engineering were presented.
Isabella Amodio, January's Student of the Month
Isabella Amodio, an eighth grader, has been named the Waynesville Middle School Rotary Student of the Month for January and was honored Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the monthly Rotary Club meeting.
Amodio, the daughter of Angelo Amodio and Kimberly Amodio, is an ‘A’ student. She is committed to academics and her teachers describe her as being a very diligent student. She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and president of Student Government. Amodio enjoys baton twirling and competitive cheerleading and participates in volleyball and
track. In the future Amodio plans to attend college and to become a neurosurgeon.
